The bolts or studs that went through this flange had fused and snapped making Forest very loud. I ground the studs off and drilled them out and this is what I was left with.
Fine. I put a random exhaust gasket I had found at work abandoned in an office and some bolts with big washers to try and keep it together, I’m a little nervous it’s going to fall apart so a little safety wire should keep it from dragging on the ground until I can get to the exhaust shop.

Looks fine. How does it sound?

It’s sealed up pretty good but there’s not a lot of meat left on the holes in the flanges. I feel like a few decent bumps could change that.

I’d suggest making the effort to find a real exhaust shop and not a muffler shop. You shouldn’t be looking at a significant financial extraction to get that welded up.

I plan on taking it where my mechanic would send it if I brought it to him if that makes you feel any better haha

Usually when it fails in one place, you can patch it but the rest is not far behind. If you can fab that, + if you have access to a hoist, wjy not buy new mufler and pipes online and replace it to the converter?

I don’t have access to a hoist and the pipes and muffler are all solid just the flanges are messed up. I did just look and Rock Auto has cat back kits for ~ $200
